Public Transport & Car Parking

Public Transport

The surgery is well served by the local bus network with two bus stops just across the road from the practice.

Public Transport information is available from Swindon Travel Choices or the Traveline website.

Car Parking

The practice car park has only limited parking available and we would request that patients park in a sensible and courteous manner.

Unfortunately, a small number of local residents have also been using our car park without permission and this has resulted in confrontation with our staff and a reduction in the availability of parking for genuine patients. This has led us to engage the services of a Parking Control Company (Parking Awareness Services Ltd) to monitor our car park and to issue penalty notices to anyone who is not pre-authorised - i.e. anyone who is not a staff member, delivering to / collecting from the practice or attending / bringing someone to a surgery appointment. We hope that patients will appreciate that this regrettable action has been taken in order to improve the availability of parking for genuine users.

Patients may also make use of the street car parking local to the practice where there are several 1 hour parking areas available; please use them when possible as, ideally, the practice car park should be available for those patients with walking difficulties.

The doctors must be able to respond to emergencies, so if there are no spaces available in the practice car park, please do not block others in as this causes delays for the doctors and difficulties for other patients.

Disabled Access

We do have access for the disabled with ramps at our entrance and a downstairs consulting room with access for the disabled. It is helpful if you would inform the receptionist if you need to use these facilities as we do use upstairs consulting rooms on rare occasions, particularly for minor surgery procedures.
